Tara Hobson heads up Carnival Village Trust (CVT), an arts charitable trust based in West London. Part of this role is leading on successful fundraising bids, including securing Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisations (NPO) funding of £1.2 million and managing a capital project of £1 million. In 2018, CVT was awarded grant funding to organise Notting Hill Carnival. After what was deemed by strategic partners as a “safe and spectacular event”, CVT has since been awarded the funding to work with the carnival community and organise Notting Hill Carnival for the next three years.

Hobson’s background is in event management having worked at Earls Court for eight years as an event manager as well as gaining international experience at The Dubai World Trade Centre. Hobson has also worked in a freelance capacity at Bestival and Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park.
