Mike Gibbons is the International Olympic Committee (IOC) technical advisor for Live Sites, Fan Zones and Spectator Events and managing director of Formidable Productions. He has 25 years’ experience in major events starting at BBC Live Events, which delivered concerts and festivals across the UK including Proms in the Park, HM Queen’s Golden Jubilee concerts at Buckingham Palace, concerts in The Mall and Trafalgar Square together with the Music Live festivals in all UK nations and many more.

Gibbons installed permanent large screens in 22 UK cities for the BBC and for London 2012 where he was head of live sites working alongside Ceremonies, Culture and Education teams. Since 2012, he has helped all the Summer & Winter Olympic Games teams across the world and sporting events in the UK. He is currently working with Beijing 2022 and Paris 2024.
