Janthea is founder and CEO of Nipperbout, an award-winning company providing childcare at conferences and events, nationally and in Europe. She considers herself to be an “ambassador for children at events” and has an armful of solutions to help organisers create safe, enjoyable, anxiety-free environments for children and families.
More than 30 years of providing temporary childcare at major UK and European venues, (coupled with insane levels of inspection by Ofsted!) has given her the expertise to spot risks, enhance, tweak and problem solve and the skills to deflect those unexpected curved balls!
Janthea has contributed to the guidelines on crèches in the Association of Event Venue’s E guide, The Purple Guide and more recently the Little Green Book of Big Ideas for the Ops Nest. She is an expert on safeguarding at events and lost child procedure, and frequently sits on Safety Advisory Group meetings as a consultant for event organisers. She also writes and delivers CPD accredited training courses in subjects relating to children – including safeguarding at events, lost child procedures and effective communication.
Janthea is also a school governor and a reader for Sound News for the visually impaired. When she isn’t working you will find her walking her dogs, singing in her local church choir, visiting the theatre, and relaxing with friends and family.
