Helen Thackeray heads up the Hull City Council Events team. She has more than 15 years’ experience of organising large-scale national and international events for audiences of up to 500,000 people. Dealing with all aspects of event management, risk management and safeguarding. She is also chair of the council’s event safety advisory group and is a partner member in the regional ESAG forum. Helen has also recently taken up the role of chair of the Local Authority Event Organisers Group (LAEOG), which enables her to work with authorities right across the country.
