Ben Hardy started his event career during his final year at university when he undertook a work placement at REM.

In 2010, Hardy joined the REM team and helped to secure one of our biggest contracts, the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta. Hardy now leads REM’s delivery of the fiesta and has worked on a number of other projects including the Bath Christmas Light Switch On, Diamond Jubilee Celebrations in Bath and Salisbury, Royal Wedding Celebration Concert (Bath), Cowley Road Carnival (Oxford), Mathew Street Music Festival (Liverpool), Mersey River Festival (Liverpool), Bristol 10k and Bristol Half Marathon (Bristol), Foodies Festival (Hampton Court and Bristol), Olympic Torch Relay Evening Celebrations (Bristol and Oxford), Brisfest (Bristol), Party in the Park (Woking), West Byfleet Live (West Byfleet) and Ashton Court 10k (Bristol)

Hardy is now managing director of the Bristol-based event management company.

Hardy will facilitate Event Buyers Live’s roundtable on increasing footfall.
